How to Cradle a Ball with Your Lacrosse Stick
Cheap Lacrosse Sticks

When attempting to string your lacrosse stick, there are multiple things to consider. The playing style of the athlete is the most important thing to consider when trying to construct your pocket. Different styles of pockets will allow for better handling or more accurate passing and shooting. The level of the player should also be taken into consideration. More advanced players should consider using tightly woven tracks and channels, which will allow them to shoot and pass more accurately, whereas beginners should use a loose pocket which will allow them to handle the ball with ease.

You will typically need a combination of four leathers, two sidewall strings, two or more shooting strings and one long piece of nylon. The length of the nylon will depend on how many diamonds the stick uses. I would recommend using approximately 14-15 feet of nylon.
